All Is Lost (Blu-ray release 2014-2-11) accomplishes something that Cast Away (2000), 127 Hours (2010), Life of Pi (2012), and Gravity (2013) didn’t – it is a survival movie with only one actor from start to finish, and there is almost no dialogue.  Essentially the fictional All Is Lost is a really realistic version of Life of Pi but with no animals and no fantasy island.  It’s doubtful that everyone will enjoy such a unique movie, but it is certainly worth my time due to its accomplishment.
