Haunter (Blu-ray release 2014-2-11) has two interesting ideas to do a horror movie: 1. Groundhog Day (1993) style repeat of the same day and same events and 2. the nature of the protagonist, which I cannot reveal without spoiling the movie. Although neither is original, their uses are not frequently seen in other movies.
Unfortunately, the screenplay fails to make a reasonable plot. In this movie, a teenage girl repeats the same events every day and hears strange noises. Her father tries to fix the car without success, her mother complains of missing laundry, and her little brother has an imaginary friend. Things and transitions happen without reason and do not conform to a consistent set of rules. Ultimately this is a letdown.
