For me, there are not enough Sci-Fi movies. So I watched The Last Days on Mars (Blu-ray release 2014-3-4) even knowing it got negative reviews. The movie started fine enough with astronauts doing some kind of mission on Mars, and the vehicle and the space ships look good to me. However, when an astronaut discovers Martian bacteria and becomes a zombie, the movie turns into a generic below-average zombie story, and you know the rest. In spite of the unusual Mars setting, the story fails to come up with anything original. It does not have enough tension to compensate for the story. The zombie make-up is also less scary than most zombie movies.
