伊波拉病毒 (Ebola Syndrome) (DVD release 2007-7-31) is an exploitative Hong Kong movie made in 1996. A wanted murderer becomes a carrier of Ebola virus by raping a dying African woman, then he goes on to spread it unknowingly through sex, saliva, blood, and killing his boss and the boss’s wife and turning them into hamburgers to serve customers.
This movie is totally unlike Outbreak (1995) or Contagion (2011), which have a serious tone. Instead of tracking down the source of the virus, this movie is focused on showing offensive images including but not limited to rape, masturbation using pork meat, dismemberment, gruesome autopsy, cannibalism, animal torture, killing of little girls, and even golden shower, etc. However, it is not as bad as I expected. The pacing is good. If one can tolerate the graphic images, there is actually a comedic aspect that can be enjoyed. Some even consider this to be a classic Hong Kong movie.
Note that there is an uncut version that contains even more extreme scenes – Warning: graphic images.
