The whole Fifty Shades of Grey movie is a teaser. It setups the characters and paces slowly, if not for the sex scenes it’d become boring. The major problem is that after it raises an important question about a character’s past, it comes to a really weak climax, then ends the move abruptly on a cliffhanger, without answering that question, or giving any hint of how the story would progress in the sequels. Even though I’m not a fan of the Twilight series, every movie in that series at least gave a meaningful climax and/or achieved a significant milestone at the end.
If the sequels do not materialize, this movie becomes a waste of time.
Unfortunately I’m not able to comment on the sex scenes, because the version I watched had those scenes seriously butchered.
