The opening large scale action set piece in Spectre is awesome.  It is followed by a thin plot that attempts to tie up the previous movies.  I thought that Quantum of Solace (2008) left the thread of Mr. White unresolved, so I’m pleased to see him again in this movie.  The subsequent action scenes are not equally spectacular, but most are competent enough.  If this is Daniel Craig’s last 007 movie, the ending provides a nice exit for his character.  Although the movie is a bit long and I’d like to see more large scale action set pieces, I’m not disappointed with this movie.
