Burnt (Blu-ray release 2016-1-26) is about a chef who screwed up in the past and try to restart his career in the hopes of obtaining Michelin 3-star.  I like Bradley Cooper’s portrayal of a shouting chef, who reminds me of Gordon Ramsay.  However, the formulaic story lacks some ingredients for the audience to root for the protagonist.  Its emotional core is weak.  In addition, the relationship between the protagonist and the single mother – daughter family is underdeveloped.
