臥虎藏龍：青冥寶劍 (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny) is a forgettable sequel to the original masterpiece by Ang Lee released in year 2000. Bad guys want the sword (from the previous movie), so good guys come up to protect it, including one who was thought to be dead. Even though this story comes from a novel, the screenplay is concise and serves only to move from one fight scene to the next, making this movie as shallow as possible. We also get bad CG this time. As if it is not bad enough, this movie is shot in English, despite the use of a Hong Kong director and a cast from Hong Kong and other Chinese descendants.
Note: I am surprised that Michelle Yeoh does not look to have aged after 15 years. To be fair, she does bring some depth to the movie, but that alone cannot save this movie.
SPOILER for the 2000 movie: This time we also get an answer to what happened to someone jumping off the cliff at the end of the previous movie.
